A Biotechnology project at NTHRYS is a defined, problem-driven piece of work that you scope, execute and defend — from a research question through experiments or analysis to a documented result.

You work under mentor supervision and finish with a tangible deliverable: a report, dataset, prototype or analysis you can show.

You begin by selecting a problem within molecular biology, microbiology, bioinformatics or biochemistry and agreeing a scope that fits your level and timeline.

Scoping early keeps the project achievable and the outcome meaningful.

Every project produces something concrete — experimental data and a written report, a bioinformatics pipeline, a characterised construct, or an analysed dataset with conclusions.

You apply real techniques — PCR, cloning, microbial culturing, assays or sequence analysis — and learn to document methods so the work is reproducible.

Projects close with evaluation against clear criteria and a short defense, so you leave with a result you understand and can explain.
